In June 1944, American soldiers stormed ashore on the Normandy beaches code-named Omaha and Utah, beginning a campaign that would end in the utter defeat of Nazi Germany. Before that could happen, there would be bitter fighting on the beaches and in the fields and villages behind them.

American D-Day is a complete Panzer Grenadier game based on the American efforts to land on Normandy’s beaches and fight their way inland. The core of them game is the landings themselves, followed by the efforts to break out from the hard-won beachheads. While the Americans deploy crack divisions like the 1st “Big Red One” Infantry and 3rd “Spearhead” Armored, and their elite Rangers, the Germans counter with the criminals of the Waffen SS 2nd Panzer Division and the former instructors of the Panzer Lehr Division.

There are 32 scenarios, plus another 11 battle games to knit them together. You get 517 die-cut and silky-smooth playing pieces, and three heavy cardstock maps.
