There’s a lot to like in Panzer Grenadier Kursk: South Flank: great scenarios and smooth, silky die-cut playing pieces. But most noticeable are the maps, by Guy Riessen.

There are four of them, and they could have been a little bland since they depict mostly steppe terrain. Southern Russia (just over the border from Ukraine) doesn’t have all that many interesting features. So Guy added a few of his own. Look closely:
